Usage of the Verb Forms Developed on the Lithuanian Grammar Information System
Abstract
Every inflectional part of speech has its paradigms. While creating the Lithuanian Grammar Information System (LIGIS), we noticed that not every inflectional form possible in theory can be used practically. Some cases in verb paradigms of Lithuanian language are discussed in the article, namely, when certain part of inflectional forms may not be used. We present three cases of unusable forms and provide reasoning behind word groups, covering such inflection with exception, for each case.
