Terms and Non-terms in Popular Media
Abstract
The article discusses the usage of terms in popular online media. The aim of the research was to determine in which meaning – special (terminological) or determinologized – the language units functioning as terms in medicine are used in online media and to identify other semantic changes of those terms. The object of the research is the term alergija ‘allergy’ and the complex terms formed with it, whereas the major source is the DELFI.lt corpus. The article reveals the dynamics of terms.
