1. Why should I provide my ORCID iD? Is it really important?
The Institute of the Lithuanian Language encourages researchers to include ORCID iD in their account and articles. The worldwide community of researchers is large and many share the same or a similar name, therefore, it is easy to confuse a person with someone else. Moreover, a researcher may change a name or have a name that has been translated into other languages. Also, many researchers (esp. the successful ones) work for a number of institutions over the course of their career or may be engaged in work across a range of disciplines.
ORCID iD helps to correctly identify and credit researchers through the course of their careers no matter the changes within their personal or professional lives.
Open Researcher and Contributor iD, otherwise known as ORCID, is a great resource available to scholars to prevent any sort of confusion and ensure the correct attribution of their research.

2. What are the conditions for using articles published in ILL journals? Is it possible to reproduce the accepted manuscript in a doctoral thesis which author is currently undertaking?
The permissions and conditions for using articles published in ILL journals are outlined in a simple way (see Journal Policies for every ILL journal). All articles are being published under CC-BY 4.0 licence which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited. This means that authors can reproduce the information of their manuscript in their doctoral thesis only after the article will be published online. A prerequisite is to precisely identify not only the author but also the original source.  As part of our open access model, we allow all published articles to be deposited immediately upon publication in authors’ institutions repositories, their personal websites, Researchgate, and etc. This type of publishing fully fulfils the recommendations of Horizon 2020 Programme and best practice publishing requirements for Open Access.

3. Why is it important to cite Funding in Research?
Funding is a crucial part of any researcher’s career, esp. in academia. Funding can come from a variety of sources (including but not limited to research councils, charities, governing bodies, etc.). It isn’t always obvious for people outside of the research group to know where the research money has come from. The funding should be acknowledged in an acknowledgements section, because a reader has to know about the source of funding, whereas a funding body may want to know which grants of theirs have been used to deliver successful publications. The funding agencies should be written out in full, followed by the grant number.

4. When will the accepted article be published?
We understand the importance of key principles of scholarly communication, the review process is made as smooth as possible. In such a way ILL makes all the possible efforts to publish articles within as short time period as possible after the acceptance of the submission. The ILL publishing team do their best to upload journal archives to the Open Journal System to make the content accessible for readers and researchers.
